I'm Julia Chapman, and I'm thrilled to begin this journey with you. JAC Designs was founded on a simple belief: every home deserves a plan as unique as the people who will live in it.
My passion for home design began long before I founded this company. I've been drawing house plans since middle school, and that passion led me to earn my Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Clemson University. With over a decade of hands-on experience working alongside architects, builders, and interior designers, I've developed a keen eye for detail and a talent for seeing possibilities others might miss.

Custom Designed Plans
Unique Vision, Unique Design For clients with a vision beyond our existing portfolio, we create fully custom house plans tailored to your specific needs. Our process begins with a discovery call to understand your preferred style, layout, and desired features. Final costs are based on estimated design hours.
OUR DESIGN PROCESS
Step 1: Discovery & Consultation
We begin by listening. During our initial consultation, we discuss your preferred style, layout preferences, specific features, and lifestyle needs. This is where your vision becomes our mission.
Step 2: Concept Exploration & Preliminary Design
We create preliminary design sketches and concepts based on your input. You'll receive inspiration images and initial floor plans to review and refine.
Step 3: Schematic Design
We develop detailed schematic designs including site plans, floor plans, roof plans, and elevations. This phase brings clarity to the overall design direction.
Step 4: Design Development & Permit Set
We refine all drawings with additional details and notes. This phase includes revised site plans, floor plans, roof plans, elevations, and any project-specific details needed for permitting.
Step 5: Construction Documents
We create comprehensive construction documents that builders need to bring your home to life. These include detailed site plans, foundation plans, electrical plans, window and door schedules, cabinet elevations, and all necessary construction details.
Step 6: Your Dream Home
With construction-ready plans in hand, you're prepared to move forward with confidence. We're here to answer questions throughout the building process.
